I get it. It’s Satan’s holiday, right? “It’s just dark. How could I let my kids go out and get all that candy? It’s like endorsing the devil!” If this is one of your convictions or preferences, I understand, and I’m not trying to shame you or judge you. But I’d like you to think about something. As a Christian, our job isn’t only to raise our kids the way the Bible teaches, but to tell others about the good news. According to Barna Research, most people who come to know Christ do so between their fourth and their fourteenth birthdays. And that means kids are most receptive to the Gospel. Wouldn’t it be great if an impressionable boy or girl came to Christ because you gave them a tract or Keys for Kids devotional storybook on Halloween?
I’m not celebrating Halloween. I’m a Christian.
